Elkins and Stull planing mill (Grand Junction, Colorado)

A planing mill that produced all of the woodwork necessary for the construction of homes. Madison Elkins co-owned the mill. He also worked as a contractor building homes in the Grand Valley, and the mill produced most of the wood that he needed for construction.

Elks Lodge (Grand Junction, Colorado)

A fraternal organization. It's local incarnation began in 1900, and the Elk's Lodge, located at 249 S. 4th Street, was built in 1913. For a time, the lodge had a chorus directed by Marie Treece.
