: Enstrom Candies (Grand Junction, Colorado); A business founded by Chet Enstrom in 1965. He began the new business to manufacture and market his almond toffee. Prior to this, he had been a partner in the Jones-Enstrom Ice Cream Company, which did business from 1929 to 1960. After running Enstrom Candies successfully for five years, Chet sold it to his son Emil in 1970, so that he could run for a seat in the Colorado Senate. From there, Enstrom Candies expanded to include stores on the Eastern Slope, and remains a family-run business.

: Excelsior Laundry (Grand Junction, Colorado); A laundromat, reportedly one of a chain, with a location in Grand Junction in the early Twentieth century and perhaps earlier. The laundromat was operating by at least 1902, when the Grand Junction City Directory lists it as the Excelsior Steam Laundry at 618 Main Street. An advertisement for the laundrymat shows the owner to be Frank Buehring at that time. According to Dudly Mitchell, the Excelsior was later owned by George Day. The Excelsior remained on Main Street until around 1909, when the City Directory lists it at 605 Rood Avenue. There it remained for several years. The 1938 City Directory lists the name as Excelsior Laundry and Odorless Dry Cleaners. It seems to have closed around 1950, as the City Directory no longer lists the business in 1951. *Ad from the 1905 Grand Junction City Directory
