Mrs. Combs nursery, Grand Junction, Colorado

A facility that delivered children. It was located at 10th Street and Colorado Avenue, and operated by a Mrs. Combs. Dr. Harvey Mills Tupper was one of the delivering physicians.

Mt. Lincoln School District 35 (Mesa County, Colorado)

A small school district with boundaries between the Clifton and Palisade School Districts. It was formed in 1898, before the consolidation of districts and the formation of Mesa County School District 51 in 1951. It administered the Mt. Lincoln School, of which Wayne Aspinall was an alum. Aspinall later served as a teacher in the district. Frank Roe and A.E. Martin were early members of the board, and Roe was the primary force behind the funding and construction of Mt. Lincoln High School (according to Roe's daughter Velma (Roe) Knight).

Museums of Western Colorado

The Museums of Western Colorado is the largest multi-disciplinary museum between Salt Lake City and Denver. Over the past fifty years they have grown to include three major museum facilities – Cross Orchards Historic Site, Dinosaur Journey Museum, and the Museum of the West; a respected research library – the Loyd Files Research Library; and four active outdoor paleontology sites. They offer a multitude of programs featuring dinosaur expeditions, extensive educational programming, and historic and cultural trips and tours, ranging from local to international. Annually over 117,000 visitors participate in our programs and enjoy the facilities. This number includes approximately 17,000 western slope K-12 students who experience high-quality site tours, programs and outreach activities.
