: Pioneer Clubs (Grand Junction, Colorado); In the early Twentieth century, different churches in the Grand Valley sponsored athletic competitions under the auspices of what were called Pioneer Clubs. The Methodist Church, for instance, had what was known as the Roosevelt Pioneer Club. Track and field and basketball were the primary sports, while football and baseball were not as prevalent. The Pioneer Clubs in the Grand Valley predated the religiously-affiliated Pioneer Clubs that have existed as a national, Christian organization since 1939.

: Pittsburgh Cattle Company (La Sal, Utah); A ranching outfit that existed format least 1884. At that time, it was managed by J. M. Cunningham, and was eventually purchased by Cunningham and his partners, Carpenter and Brewer. In 1914, they sold it to La Sal Livestock, run by Charley Redd.

: Plateau Valley Hospital (Collbran, Colorado); In 1903, the Collbran Congregational Church purchased the grounds where the Plateau Valley Hospital building was built to meet the maternity needs of women in rural areas of Plateau Valley. Now it's known as the Plateau Valley Medical Clinic.

: Plateau Valley School District 50 (Mesa County, Colorado); A school district in the Plateau Valley area of Mesa County, Colorado. The district was formed from the consolidation of smaller districts in 1949-50. Because of the remoteness of Plateau Valley from other Mesa County schools, the area elected not to become part of Mesa County Valley School District 51 during the consolidation. Districts absorbed into District 50 included: Collbran District 6, Molina District 8, Mesa District 9, Pleasant View District 12, Heiberger District 14, Parker Basin District 17, Clover District 21, Eagalite District 22, Little Creek District 24, Georgia Mesa District 30, Salt Creek District 42, Divide Creek District 45.

: Plateau Valley Stage (Mesa County, Colorado); A stagecoach that ran from Collbran to Grand Junction, stopping at Mesa to pickup mail. It operated in the early Twentieth century. According to Anna Foster, it was preceded in operation by Charley Summerville, who drove a stage from Collbran to Grand Junction. Eventually the stage was displaced by automobile delivery services run by Harvey Lorimer and Will Gibson.

: Plateau Valley Voice newspaper (Collbran, Colorado); A long-running newspaper serving the Plateau Valley area of Mesa County, Colorado that was primarily published in Collbran.
