She was born June 10, 1925, in Las Animas.
She and her husband operated Oxford's Market on U.S. 50 in Salida. When her husband died in an accident in 1988, she was appointed to his empty city council chair and was subsequently elected to other council terms.
After the market sold, she helped manage Crews-Beggs clothing store until the business closed in 2000. Her business endeavors included an ownership interest in Rock 'n Row Rafting.
She was Salida Regional Library treasurer and served on the Salida Housing Development board. She was a long-time member of Chaffee County Republicans, a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of Daughters of the Nile (honored ladies).
Mrs. Bondurant was a long-time member of Salida Business Alliance where she was remembered for her dedication to downtown Salida business.
She collected money for July 4 fireworks and was among the founders of Christmas Mountain USA.
