Interview with Florence Naccarato, born Dec. 16, 1922 and died July 16, 2011. Her early years were spent learning the piano, studying art and dress design. She was an excellent swimmer and outstanding Badminton player. She attended the University of Washington until World War II. To support the war effort, Florence took a position as a parachute packer in Great Falls, Montana where she met and married Lloyd Naccarato of Salida, Colorado. After the war ended the couple relocated to the family ranch west of Poncha Springs. Later, Lloyd and Florence moved to Salida where the family home is still located.
Florence worked for the Department of Labor and Employment of Colorado, was a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, Daughters of the Isabelle, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
