Rob LeVine is in the starting gate for the Tashiro Cup, sponsored by Tashiro Marketing & Advertising. Tashiro Marketing was owned by popular 1980s Vail business owners, Harvey and Lori Tashiro. The event has been described as the Vail Mountain local's "social event of the year."
Unlike most skiers, LeVine is racing on telemark (touring-style) skis rather than alpine (dowhill) skis.
