Claude Harrison Hinman
According to Bill Nelson, he was a “gentleman farmer” in Collbran and Orchard Mesa with other interests in the community. He edited local newspapers and attempted to compete with the Daily Sentinel. He also raised short-horn cattle for milking, and was, according to Dwain Jackson, a representative for the American Milking Shorthorn Society. He was college educated. He helped to found the Grand Valley Rural Power Lines. Father of a son and daughter, Charleton and Jean.
