Earl Morton
Earl was born in Louisville, CO and his family moved to Lafayette, CO when he was still a baby. He married Verda on June 26, 1937. Earl was living in Sterling and working at the Sterling Farm Journal until around the start of World War II when he and Verda moved back to Lafayette. During the war years, Earl worked at a dairy for a year and then he went and worked for the Industrial Mine for a year. Following that, he worked at Rocky Mountain Arsenal for 15 years. When the Arsenal closed, he bought the A&W drive in and ran that for another 15 years before retiring.
