- Elaine White Kelton coauthored Women of Vail: Those Who Walked This Bridge 1962 - 1970 alongside Carolyn Pope. A native daughter of Philadelphia, Elaine graduated from Smith College. She married Gerry White, a friend from youth who had graduated from Williams College. Three daughters, Courtney, Vanessa and Ashley, were born to Elaine and Gerry White. After college, the Whites moved to Vail in the 1960s and were hired by Vail Associates founders, Pete Seibert and Bob Parker. In the ensuing years, Elaine married Art Kelton. Elaine is Vice Chair of the Colorado Mountain College Foundation Board and is active in several nonprofit organizations in Eagle County, Colorado.
