: Gardner P. Davis; He was born in Michigan. He moved with his wife and family to Mesa County, Colorado in 1904. They bought a home on Orchard Avenue, and then bought a piece of land on the north end of 31 Road. He tried to grow fruit, but his water allotment from the Stubbs Ditch proved insufficient to sustain an orchard. He became a cattle rancher. Father of Madge E. Davis.
