- Jo Norris
- Jo Norris has served Vail Public Library (VPL) as Senior Librarian/Tech Services since 2005. Included in her myriad duties at VPL are facilitating the VPL Skiing Book Club and VPL Walking Book Club. Alongside the VPL Director of Library Services, Norris also inaugurated the VPL online catalog Local Digital Archive and Vail Valley Voices oral history program. Jo Norris earned her undergraduate degree in Archaeology from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She earned her MLS from Emporia College in Emporia, Kansas.

- Joan Carnie
- Joan and Jack Carnie were moved to Vail circa 1962 and were a couple of the community's earliest residents. In the early days, Joan often rode her horse to town. A teacher by trade, Joan was one of the first Children's Ski School supervisors out of Lionshead. Jack, who was also a teacher, was one the earliest Adult Ski School supervisors out of Lionshead. Both of their sons, John and David, were born in Vail.
