Julius E. Johnson Jr.

He was born in Arapahoe County, Colorado to Julius Johnson, a chemist by trade who became a farmer, and to Grace R. Johnson, a homemaker. Julius Jr.’s grandfather first came to Colorado in 1890.
He attended the University of Colorado (B.A.) at Boulder and the University of Illinois (PhD), where his studied chemistry and biochemistry, and participated in groundbreaking studies on amino acids.
He worked for DOW Chemical for many years in a research and managerial capacity. He was good friends with fellow DOW employee Al Look Jr., and also came to know Al Look Sr.

Jumpin' Jan (Janice Zink)

Janice Zink (Jumpin' Jan) began her radio career with KOTO Radio in December of 1994. She resigned in December of 2014. Zink served as a station events coordinator for KOTO.
"Zink has been a KOTO DJ since the ‘80s; she won the very first Silver Tongue fundraising award in 1983 and is a KOTO Lifetime Achievement recipient. Over the years she organized the KOTO Beer Booth at Bluegrass, produced two Bob Dylan concerts and a Widespread Panic show, managed hundreds of volunteers and headed smaller events like the KOTO Cribbage Tournament, Name That Tune and Karaoke Night. “Jumpin’ Jan,” as she is known to listeners, is known for her Monday night shows."
