- Karen Jimmerson moved to Steamboat in 1969 after graduating from college in Amherst, Massachusetts. Locally known for her role in opening the Soupçon restaurant in the Thiessen Mall with Sandy (Burr) Jenny in 1978, and then as a long-time server at Mambo Italiano, Karen was also one of the first exercise instructors at the Old Town Hot Springs when fitness was first gaining popularity in Steamboat Springs.
