Ken Baker
Ken Baker graduated from the University of Colorado with BA, MA and JD degrees. He was admitted to the Colorado Bar Association in 1964 and practiced law in Salida from 1974 until 2001, specializing in water, real estate and administrative law. Mr. Baker was the Chaffee County Attorney for 25 years and former Poncha Springs Town Attorney. Mr. Baker was one of the founding members of the Upper Arkansas Water Conservancy District and served as the manager and attorney for the District from 1979 until 2001. He was instrumental in developing the District's blanket well augmentation plan and today is the District's Legislative Consultant.
Ken Brown
Born Jan 5 1916. Native to Lafayette. Lived on hill North of cemetery. Father came here from England when he was 21. He was a coal miner but then sharecropped. Ken mined in the Evens in Evansville for only one year then took a job with the Forest Service. Graduated school in 1934. Married in the Spring of 1938 to Carolyn. One daughter.
Ken Johnson
The former owner of the Daily Sentinel newspaper. He also owned Johnson Publishing, a company that published Al Look’s book Hopi Snake Dance, among others.
